The Former Playdrome - Clydebank
Miller Homes Ltd are inviting the public, community groups and other stakeholders to view their proposals for a proposed housing development on the former Playdrome site within the town of Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire.
It is a statutory requirement of the Scottish planning system to undertake community consultation in advance of submitting a planning application for a major residential development proposal, and our proposals fall into that category.
Under normal circumstances, such consultation would take the form of a public exhibition in a local venue giving those attending the ability to have direct contact and interaction with our development team to learn more about the plans and to answer any queries. However, as you will appreciate, and in line with Government emergency legislation, the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic has resulted in a ban on public gatherings and that type of consultation event is presently not possible.
The Scottish Government has issued emergency guidance which temporarily suspends the requirement for a public event and provides advice on alternative means of public engagement, which is mainly to be done online.
We have served the requisite “Proposal of Application Notice” on West Dunbartonshire Council on the 22nd February 2022 and must now undertake an alternative means of engagement with the local community, and neighbouring stakeholders.
